Dot Calls For Two Proposals To Drive Telecom Innovation


(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, Jun 18 (KNN) The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has announced two significant calls for proposals aimed at catalysing innovation and technological advancement in the telecommunications sector.

The first call is for the '5G Intelligent Village' initiative, which aims to harness 5G technology to transform rural life, driving digital inclusion and economic growth.

Proposals are invited to enable the effective utilisation of Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC) and massive Machine Type Communication (mMTC) aspects of 5G in selected villages across various states, showcasing the advantages of 5G connectivity.

The second call is for the development of a 'Quantum Encryption Algorithm' (QEA), which seeks a cutting-edge approach to securing digital communication channels by leveraging the principles of quantum mechanics.

The algorithm should ensure unparalleled security, advanced encryption capabilities, and ultrafast and efficient encryption.

These initiatives underscore DoT's commitment to fostering indigenous R&D, promoting IP creation, and achieving inclusive digital growth across India.

The proposals will be funded under the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme.

The last date for submission of applications is 31.07.2024. Interested parties fr0m industry, MSMEs, startups, academia, and government departments involved in telecom technology development are encouraged to participate.
