Saudi Crown Prince apologizes to Italian PM for absence of G7 summit

(MENAFN) Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman has conveyed his apologies to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for his inability to attend the upcoming G7 Summit in Italy. The gesture underscores the diplomatic etiquette observed between nations, even amidst scheduling conflicts.

In his message to Prime Minister Meloni, the Crown Prince expressed appreciation for the invitation to participate in the communication session scheduled for June 14 during the G7 Summit. However, he cited prior commitments related to overseeing the preparations and activities for the Hajj season, preventing his attendance at the summit.

Acknowledging the significance of the bilateral relationship between Saudi Arabia and Italy, the Crown Prince underscored the depth and strength of the ties shared between the two nations. Despite his absence, he emphasized the ongoing cooperation and mutual respect that define Saudi-Italian relations, signaling a commitment to maintaining positive diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The apology extended by the Saudi Crown Prince reflects the importance placed on diplomatic protocol and respectful communication between nations, even in situations where official engagements cannot be fulfilled due to prior commitments.
