
Winners Of 18Th King Abdullah II Award Honoured At Ceremony
AMMAN - Deputising for his majesty King Abdullah, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Azmi Mahafzah on Wednesday attended the ceremony honouring the winners of the 18th King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness.
During the ceremony, Ajmal Tweiqat, director of the Department of Educational Activities, stressed that the award, which was introduced in 2005 as a Royal initiative, adds to a series of Royal initiatives that support and assist students across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The award aims to promote fitness and health among students at schools, where the award has been witnessing an increase in the number of participants. This year, 825,968 students from 3,259 public, private, and military culture schools participated in the award.
