Iranian Army Commander: Israel to ultimately collapse by Palestinian fighters

(MENAFN) In a recent address, Iranian army Commander Abdolrahim Mousavi proclaimed that the state of Israel would ultimately collapse, brought down by Palestinian fighters. Mousavi attributed this forecast to the "Al-Aqsa Storm Operation" that occurred on October 7, which he believes has left Israel disoriented and bewildered.

During a ceremony at the Air Defense Academy, Mousavi also asserted that efforts to link Iran to the success of the Storm Operation were baseless, emphasizing that even Israeli and US officials had acknowledged the absence of evidence connecting Iran to the attack by Hamas. He underlined that Iran's involvement was not a factor, indirectly alluding to the possibility that Iran could take more significant actions against Israel in a scenario akin to the country's operations during the "Sacred Defense" in the 1980s against the invading Saddam Army.

Mousavi described the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation as a substantial blow to the Zionist regime, emphasizing that Israel was struggling to come to terms with its consequences. Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has previously described the operation as an "irreparable defeat" for the Zionist regime.

Mousavi also commented on the broader implications of the operation, suggesting that the occupiers of Palestinian lands had seen their international standing significantly diminished as a result. He highlighted the substantial losses suffered by Israel during the operation, which included the capture of 212 Israelis, including high-ranking military officers, as well as more than 1,400 fatalities. Mousavi underscored the resilience of the resistance fighters in Gaza who had executed the operation despite enduring years of isolation, hardship, cruelty, and oppression.
