General Staff: 68 Combat Clashes On Front In Past Day


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Sixty-eight combat clashes have been recorded across the front line in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine said this in its update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Throughout the day, 68 combat clashes took place. In total, the enemy launched 4 missile attacks and 33 airstrikes, carried out 24 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, as a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties among the civilian population. Private residential buildings, apartment blocks and other civil infrastructure were destroyed and damaged," the report says.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct the offensive operation in the Melitopol sector, offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut sector. Ukrainian defenders inflict manpower and equipment losses on the Russian troops, weakening the enemy along the entire front line.

Throughout the day, the Air Force of Ukraine launched 12 strikes on Russian manpower, weapons and military equipment clusters.

Ukrainian missile forces hit five enemy artillery units, one radar station, one ammunition depot, one anti-aircraft missile system, and two areas where enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of October 19, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Kh-59 guided missile and three Shahed-136/131 attack drones launched by Russian forces against Ukraine.
