Eminem Protege Cashis Joined I Only Touch Greatness For A Rare Interview

Eminem's former protégé Cashis stopped by the Vancouver Canada podcast I Only Touch Greatness to talk to Ryan Haze and his Co-Host Prince Allen from Kansas City. The Interview Talks a lot about what happened that led to him leaving Shady Records.

Cashis talks about his childhood growing up in Chicago how he was always in trouble at school and in the streets, and how just like the fresh Prince of bel air he was shipped out by his mother to California.

California is where he started writing and making music, he eventually caught the eye of Shady Records A&R Dart Parker who took him to the studio with Eminem. Cashis talks about how he met Eminem and how Eminem gave him a batch of beats to work on then left the studio and when he came back the next day Cashis had spent the whole night working and had a bunch of songs done. These songs Eminem loved and they were used for his album County Hound which was produced by Eminem.

Cashis talks about what is probably his biggest song called“You Don't Know” and how working with Eminem, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Obie Trice was for that music video.

Cashis talks about the reason he chose to leave Shady Records. Cashis also talks about his drug use and how he was addicted to pills which blinded his judgment. He also credits having the wrong people around him for his drug use and those same friends telling him not to be on the remix to REHAB by Amy Winehouse but his friends told him he would look like a junkie. He told a few more stories about opportunities he missed because of drugs.
