Qpwn Joins 3Rd Women Power Forum In Hong Kong

Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Professional Women's Network (QPWN) recently joined the 3rd Women Power Forum (WPF) with the theme“Making the Impossible Possible: Women Trailblazer.”

QPWN Head, Karmela Palma and QPWN Co-Founder Chairperson, Margarita Zuniga shared their insights during the forum.

The WPF is an international forum established in China. It is dedicated to women's power and strives to create a global platform where world leaders from various sectors can come together to promote women's empowerment. The event was organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Women and co-organised by the Golden Bauhinia Women Entrepreneur Association. Palma was one of the distinguished speakers during the event where she shared QPWN's programmes and initiatives to support and empower professional women in Qatar.

She highlighted how women contribute to a country's social and economic development and emphasised QPWN's role in providing valuable platforms, mentoring, guidance, networking opportunities, and further training to help professional women in Qatar broaden their horizons.

Additionally, she discussed how Qatar's leadership and government support its female citizens and residents to be leaders and valuable members of society through world-class education and integrated community development.

Zuniga meanwhile joined to network and liaise with the invited women's organisations attending the forum and establish relations for future collaborations.
The WPF showcased women empowerment champions worldwide in arts and culture, entrepreneurship, business, finance, technology, and social innovation.

The event welcomed local, regional, and international guests and participants, including government officials, policymakers, business leaders, scholars, representatives from non-profit organisations and youth organisations, and students.

The forum was also broadcast globally, with over 200,000 online viewers from over 10 countries and regions such as mainland China, Australia, Japan, Qatar, Singapore, Sweden, Philippines, and Thailand.

QPWN is a platform for all professional women in Qatar. Founded in 2010, its mission is to promote and facilitate the professional development and advancement of women in Qatar. It is also aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.

It runs monthly networking events and a top-rated annual mentoring programme.
