(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was accorded on Thursday an official reception ceremony upon his arrival at the Palace of the Nation in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon led well-wishers to welcome His Highness the Amir upon his arrival at the Palace of the Nation.
The ceremony started with playing the Qatari and Tajik national anthems before His Highness the Amir inspected the Guard of Honor. 21 artillery rounds were fired to welcome His Highness the Amir.
His Highness the Amir then shook hands with Their Excellencies members of the Tajik official delegation and senior officials, while HE the President of the Republic of Tajikistan shook hands with Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Amir.
Earlier on Thursday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was welcomed upon arrival at Dushanbe International Airport by the Chairperson of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Tajikistan Mubarak bin Abdurrahman Al Nasr, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the State Khisrav Sohibzoda, and members of the Qatari embassy.
