Various States prohibit LBGTQ education

(MENAFN) United States Division of Defense representatives have criticized recent laws in different states that push back in contradiction of LGBTQ activism – for example prohibitions on sex-change operations for kids – debating that the legislation could weaken the preparations of America’s army.

“LGBTQ+ and other diverse communities are under attack just because they are different – hate for hate’s sake,” head DOD diversity officer Gil Cisneros stated on Wednesday at a Pentagon event rejoicing Pride Month. “But we must stick together, and we must be prepared to confront any such challenge directly.”

Cisneros was discussing bills passed or proposed in over twelve Republican-controlled states on LGBTQ-associated matters. Some United States regions have banned giving hormone blockers or sex-change operations to under age kids and banned schools from counseling kids on gender identity without parental agreement.

Florida has prohibited classroom education on gender identity and sexual orientation, aiming at curriculums that Governor Ron DeSantis has dubbed as “indoctrination.”
