Amir Leaves Samarkand

Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani left Samarkand on Tuesday, after a state visit to the friendly Republic of Uzbekistan. HH the Amir will head to the city of Bishkek on a state visit to the friendly Republic of Kyrgyzstan.

His Highness and the accompanying delegation were seen off at at Samarkand International Airport by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan HE Abdulla Aripov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Bakhtiyor Saidov, and the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Uzbekistan HE Hassan bin Hamza Hashim.

His Highness the Amir sent a telegram to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan HE Shavkat Mirziyoyev in which he expressed sincere thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and honor he and the accompanying delegation received in Samarkand during his visit, which provided an opportunity to exchange views on issues of common concern and ways to support and strengthen friendly relations between the two countries in various fields.
