Kiev asks for dozens of US-made Patriot air defense system

(MENAFN) Leader Vladimir Zelensky informed the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) in a meeting issued on Saturday that Ukraine requires a lot of United States-made Patriot air defense system batteries if it wishes to defend its substructure and army on the combat zone against Russian air advantage.

The overall amount of his request surpasses the amount of money Washington has previously spent on armed support for Kiev.

Zelensky stated that Patriot is the “only system in the world” capable of interrupting specific advanced sorts of Russian missiles, also noting that “there is a weapon” allegedly capable of radically minimizing Russian abilities regarding airstrikes as well as missile attacks.

Last month, Kiev declared its hordes had succeeded in intercepting a Russian hypersonic Kinzhal missile utilizing a Patriot air protection system. Moscow denied those declarations, noting that Ukraine most of the time overstates the efficiency of its air fortifications.
