Qatar University Public Health Undergrads Present Their Final Projects

Doha, Qatar: A number of students from the Public Health Department at Qatar University's (QU) College of Health Sciences presented their research graduation projects.

Most of the students will graduate in Spring 2023, as part of the eighth cohort of Public Health undergraduate students.

Moza Al Kuwari, Fatima Al Jassim, and Rodhah Al Attiyah presented their research project entitled“Examining differences in vaping aspects and social media experiences by age, sex, and tobacco use status,” which was supervised by Dr. Mohammed Al Hamdani.

Dr. Al Hamdani also supervised a project that assessed vaping cessation interventions and reasons for discontinuing use through a narrative review which was presented by Asmaa Ghanim.

The third project was supervised by Dr. Mohammed Fasih Alam and presented by Aisha Al Heidous, Aisha Albuainain and Hind Al Hajri, who investigated under five mortality and its association with health care expenditure in Eastern Mediterranean region countries during 2010-2020.

Dr. Diana Alsayed Hasan supervised the final project entitled“Prevalence of falls and associated factors among older PHCC-users with diabetes in Qatar.”

The project was presented by Mashael Al Muraikhi, Ghalya Al Sayed and Haura Al Sharshani.
