Large Weapon And Ammunition Cache Discovered In Afghanistan's Farah


(MENAFN- Khaama Press) According to a statement released by the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) on Thursday, Taliban security forces have found a weapon and ammunition cache in the western province of Farah.

Responding to a tip, GDI personnel began operations in the Farah province on Wednesday and found weapons, including five Kalashnikov rifles, three PK machine guns, two rocket launchers, and thousands of bullets, including 20 mortar shells, according to the statement, which did not specify whether anyone was arrested.

On Tuesday, Afghan security forces also discovered and seized weapon caches in the northern Baghlan Province.

Meanwhile, Taliban security forces found and confiscated weapons caches in the northern Baghlan province.

Similar operations were conducted by the Afghan security forces in the eastern Kunar province, where they found and took 17 AK-47 assault rifles along with other weapons and ammunition.

Recently the Taliban security forces have crackdown in several provinces of Afghanistan and confiscated several ammunition caches.
