Spreckley Expands Leadership After International Account Wins


(MENAFN- PRovoke) LONDON - Technology specialist Spreckley has expanded its leadership team after winning a raft of international fintech, climate tech and space clients

New director Roxanne Kingsman reports into managing director Richard Merrin and will work alongside creative director Adam Hartley and senior account director Sean Hand at the 20-strong agency. She joins from B2B technology agency Grammatik, where she was an account director.

Kingsman's appointment comes after the agency won a number of international clients, including – via its founder membership of the space communications alliance
– Sky Canvas. This technology (pictured) was developed by Japanese space company ALE to allow satellites to create man-made shooting stars, with applications for both entertainment at global events and tourist hotspots, and gathering climate science data from the mesosphere.

Spreckley was originally taken on earlier this year for a three-month project for Sky Canvas, and is now on a retainer. David Skilling, a director at Premier Mission Group, which has the exclusive rights to the technology, said:“Our global PR partnership with Spreckley has enabled us to tell the world about Sky Canvas. Adam and his team clearly share our team's passion for the project, and they have already generated a breath-taking amount of high-profile media coverage.

“Longer term, beyond the headline-grabbing 'space entertainment' aspect, we are working with Spreckley to explain how the data obtained from studying the path and light emission of shooting stars will also help shed light on the mechanisms of climate change.”

Merrin told PRovoke Media:“Roxanne is already adding huge value with her contacts and has been pivotal in winning new business. During the pandemic, we were firmly focused on finance and enterprise tech, but we have moved at speed into all things greentech, climate tech and space comms.

“We have spent time putting together a three-year business plan, and strengthening the senior team is vital as we head towards £2 million this year, our 40th anniversary. We're also investing in our own SEO and have developed a new website to underline our brand positioning as a data-driven content PR agency.”

Spreckley has also recently won clients via its membership of independent agency network GlobalCom, including a multi-market contract for Trina Solar, a Chinese firm with European headquarters in Munich, which manufactures solar panels for business, residential and commercial customers. Spreckley is the UK agency and the lead agency for Europe, working with GlobalCom partners in Poland, Spain and Germany to underline the role of solar power in the drive towards net zero.

Another recent greentech client is Californian scale-up D.Light, which has developed affordable and sustainable solar lanterns to replace kerosene, used for heating and light in developing countries and is a huge contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.

Also in the Americas, the agency is running a corporate reputation and thought leadership programme for US fintech Lanistar, which has developed a prepaid banking app aimed at consumers in Brazil, where 60% of the population is unbanked.
