Survey show that majority of China hold US accountable for Ukrainian war


(MENAFN) Based on a recent study nearly 80 percent of the Chinese residents assume that the United States and Western nations are completely accountable for the war in Ukraine, and lower than 10 percent hold Russia accountable for starting the conflict.

Printed on Wednesday by the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University, the study showed that 80.1 percent of the surveyed fault the war on the “United States and Western countries,” whereas 11.7 percent fault Ukraine, also 8.2 percent hold Russia accountable.

About 34.1 percent branded the “impact of the war on civilian life” as the top priority matter ascending from the war, whereas 20.9 percent called the security of Chinese nation and their financial benefits in Ukraine, and 15.6 percent addressed the “impact on the global energy supply.”

As the poll established that the majority of Chinese nation doubts Washington, with 59.1 percent holding a “very unfavorable” or “somewhat unfavorable” view of the United States. And only 7.8 percent hold the same opinion of Russia, with 58.4 percent seeing their neighbor “somewhat,” or “very” favorably.
