Data: KSA imports millions of diesel, gasoline barrels from Russia

(MENAFN) Bloomberg announced at the beginning of this week, quoting information from analytics company Kpler that Saudi Arabia shipped in 174,000 barrels of diesel and gasoil per day from Russia during the last month.

The number comes in dissimilarity to 137,700 barrels per day reported in April. Imports kept increasing this month, and totaled a 191,200 barrels per day in the initial two weeks of this month alone, reaching a peak since 2017.

Meanwhile, the Middle East country appeared as the European Union’s number one provider, advancing Russia since February.

The kingdom, on the other hand, is allegedly not selling back the diesel and gasoil that it imports from Russia, as a move like this would be deemed a break of restrictions executed by the bloc on Moscow over its army procedure in Ukraine.
