Togg's First Electric Vehicle Model T10X Receives High Pre-Order Demand

(MENAFN) Togg, Türkiye's first indigenous electric vehicle brand, has received 177,467 pre-orders for its first model, the T10X, in just 12 days. The pre-order phase commenced on March 16 and ended on Monday, with the firm set to deliver 20,000 T10X electric cars this year. A draw will be held on Wednesday to determine the lucky winners of the 20,000 T10X cars.

Previously, Togg had announced that it would deliver 12,000 cars in 2023, but it has since raised that figure to 20,000 due to high demand. The standard range model of the T10X is priced from 953,000 Turkish liras (about $50,200) to 1.055 million liras (about $55,600), while the long-range model is priced at 1.215 million liras (about $64,000).

Buyers can choose between two battery options for the T10X, which has a 160 kW power (218 horsepower) with rear-wheel drive, providing a range of 314 kilometers (195 miles) or 523 km (325 mi). The first version of the T10X can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds, while the second version, for which deliveries will start on October 29, can do so in just 4.8 seconds. The second version also features all-wheel drive with 320 kW power (435 horsepower).

The batteries of the Togg T10X can be recharged up to 80% from 20% in less than 28 minutes at fast-charging stations. Drivers can also choose from six different color options for the electric vehicle.

The high demand for Togg's first electric vehicle model reflects the growing interest in electric cars and the increasing demand for sustainable transportation options. Togg's entry into the market is a significant milestone for Türkiye's automotive industry, which has been dominated by foreign brands. The success of Togg's T10X could encourage other domestic manufacturers to invest in electric vehicle production and help Türkiye become a major player in the global electric vehicle market.
