Fame Sports Academy Recognises QBF's Role In Developing Basketball

Doha: The Fame Sports Academy recently honoured Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF), in recognition of the sport's governing body's role in raising the level of basketball in Qatar, at the conclusion of the second training camp conducted by renowned coach Gigi Brown.

The training camp was held at QBF courts and under the Federation's supervision and drew more than 100 players, including the University of Sharjah women's basketball team.

Engineer Ahmed Hammouda, Director General of Fame Sports Academy, presented QBF Secretary-General Saadoun Al Kuwari with a token of appreciation and thanked the Federation for its efforts and support towards the development of the sport in general and the training camp.

Hammouda added that Fame Sports Academy values ​​and appreciates the effective role played by QBF in developing the game and supporting private academies which will contribute to raising the general level of the sport in Qatar.

He also expressed that Fame Sports Academy is looking forward to organizing such events in future in partnership with QBF specially after the huge success of the camp.

It is also worth noting that Fame Sports Academy, in collaboration with QBF, also organised a friendly match between University of Sharjah ladies team and the Qatar women's national team.
