QFA, AFC Training Workshop Concludes

Doha: The activities of a workshop for trainers, organized by the Qatar Football Association (QFA) in cooperation with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), concluded at the headquarters of the Development Department of the QFA.

The workshop took place at the headquarters of the administration in Aspire.

The closing ceremony was attended by Fahd Thani Al Zaraa, Director of the Development Department of the QFA – Assistant Lecturer for the course – and Ahmed Omar Shaker, the accredited lecturer at the AFC, the main lecturer of the course, who supervised the presentation of the theoretical and practical topics of the course, and the accredited lecturer at the AFC – Assistant Lecturer at the course – Abdul Al Qader Al Mughisib.

The training course for lecturers is one of the most important courses organized by the Development Department under the supervision of AFC. Similar courses have already been organized, the most recent of which was held in March 2020.

Twenty students, representing an elite group of coaches, analysts and workers in the football sector, participated in the course.

The courses are considered among the most important pillars on which the education and development strategy developed by the Development Department of QFA, headed by Al Zaraa, who underlined the continuous support of the QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani.

The course included theoretical and practical sessions on the playing system, tactical differences, different playing methods, offensive playing methods, defensive play, technical management, team building, modern football trends, employing football players, coach responsibilities and practical applications.
