War Update: Ukraine's Air Force Launched 13 Strikes On Enemy Positions, Military Equipment

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the past 24 hours, Ukraine's Air Force has launched one strike on a Russian air defense missile system, as well as 12 strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on facebook , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Additionally, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit one Russian command post, three enemy personnel clusters, one ammunition depot and one electronic warfare system.

Russian troops continue conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions. In the rest of directions, enemy forces are holding defense.

Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders repelled 83 enemy attacks in the eastern section of the front. Russian invaders continue causing terror against civilians, opening fire on settlements and critical infrastructure objects.

On March 22, 2023, Russian troops launched a missile strike on the city of Zaporizhzhia, having hit an apartment block. In addition, Russians launched 48 air strikes (namely, using the Shahed-136 drones) and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems 75 times. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The threat of Russian missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected. Russian troops continue using the infrastructure of Belarus for military training purposes. The enemy is maintaining military presence in the border areas.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have opened fire on the Chernihiv region's Khrinivka, Arkhypivka and Mykhalchyna Sloboda; the Sumy region's Demianivka, Esman, Atynske, Iskryskivshchyna, Bilopillia, Volfyne, Pavlivka, Basivka, Yunakivka and Krasnopillia; the Kharkiv region's Basove, Hoptivka, Strilecha, Vesele, Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Krasne Pershe and Kindrashivka.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian occupiers continue attempts to break through the defense of Ukrainian forces. The enemy conducted unsuccessful actions near Makiivka, Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops are conducting offensive actions, suffering significant personnel, military equipment and ammunition losses. Ukrainian defenders are repelling numerous enemy attacks near Bakhmut, Bohdanivka and Predtechyne around the clock. Over 15 settlements came under enemy, including the Donetsk region's Vasiukivka, Mynkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pivniche and Pivdenne.

In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian invaders were conducting offensive actions near such settlements as Novokalynove, Stepove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Lastochkyne, Sieverne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Marinka and Pobieda, but had no success. Over 20 settlements came under enemy fire, namely the Donetsk region's Avdiivka, Tonenke, Sieverne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Netailove, Marinka, Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian occupiers were holding defense. Enemy shelling was recorded in over 45 settlements, which are situated close to the contact line, such as the Zaporizhzhia region's Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka and Mali Shcherbaky, as well as Havrylivka, Ivanivka, Zelenivka, Dniprovske and Kherson.

In the Zaporizhzhia region's temporarily occupied areas, namely such settlements as Reshetylivske, Chumatske and Kostiantynivka, Russian troops came to local residents and warned them of the need to stay in safe places, preventing them from leaving their houses. According to the General Staff, this may indirectly indicate that Russians make attempts to not allow local residents to watch the redeployment of personnel and military equipment to the contact line.

In Russia's military unit in South Ossetia, conscripts are encouraged to sign contracts and further take part in hostilities within the territory of Ukraine. Between March 1, 2023 and March 10, 2023, over 50 Russian conscripts signed such contracts. Without proper training, they were sent to the Zaporizhzhia region's Melitopol.
