Public Staff To Work 5 Hours During Ramadan


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, issued today a circular specifying working hours during the holy month of Ramadan for ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions.
The circular stated that, on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1444 AH, it was decided that the number of official working hours during the holy month for civil servants will be five hours per day, starting from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon.
It is permissible - provided that work requirements are met - that the employee may be allowed to come late, at a maximum of 10 am, provided that the employee completes the official working hours (five hours).
