War Update: Ukraine Army Repels 69 Enemy Attacks In Five Directions


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Russian troops continue conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on facebook , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, Ukrainian forces have repelled 69 enemy attacks in the aforementioned directions. Bakhmut is remaining the epicenter of hostilities,” the report states.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine's Air Force has launched a strike on three Russian Buk-M1-2 missile systems, seven strikes on enemy personnel clusters, and destroyed one ammunition depot.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit Russia's Tor missile system, three enemy personnel and military equipment clusters, and three electronic warfare systems. The Ukrainian military also shot down an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), ZALA.

Russian troops continue causing terror against civilians in Ukraine, opening fire on settlements and infrastructure objects in violation of the laws and customs of war.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have launched six missile strikes, 13 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 56 times, namely on civil infrastructure in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The threat of Russian missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. Russian military units continue training within the Belarusian training grounds.

In the past 24 hours, the enemy has opened fire on the Chernihiv region's Khrinivka, Kliusy, Oleksandrivka and Kamianska Sloboda; the Sumy region's Sopych, Kharkivka, Starykove, Volfyne and Stepok; the Kharkiv region's Chervona Zoria, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Krasne, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Kamianka, Novomlynsk, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Zapadne and Kindrashivka.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops were conducting unsuccessful offensive actions near Novoselivske, Kreminna and Bilohorivka. The enemy launched artillery strikes on the Kharkiv region's Vesele, Kupiansk, Krokhmalne, Pishchane and Berestove, and the Luhansk region's Novoselivske, Nevske, Bilohorivka, Siversk and Spirne.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks near Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bohdanivka and Hryhorivka. Russian invaders were shelling the Donetsk region's Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Kostiantynivka, Maiorsk, Zalizne and New York.

In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian occupiers were conducting unsuccessful offensive actions near Kamianka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Vodiane, Berdychi and Marinka. The enemy opened fire on Kamianka, Avdiivka, Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka, etc.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops were holding defense. Twenty-seven settlements came under enemy fire, including the Zaporizhzhia region's Olhivske, Charivne, Novodanylivka and Orikhiv, as well as Tamaryne, Odradokamianka, Tiahynka, Novotiahynka, Poniativka, Sadove, Rozlyv and Kherson.

In the Kherson region, Russian occupiers are threatening civilians with punitive actions for the absence of Russian passports. In particular, at checkpoints in the Kherson region's temporarily occupied areas, enemy forces are threatening civilians with illegal detention and violence in case they do not have Russian passports during the next document check.
