UNA, Women Development Organization Sign Mou

Amman, Mar. 19 (Petra) -- The Union of News Agencies (UNA) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Women Development Organization (WDO) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to serve women's issues in the OIC Member States.
A statement by UNA on Sunday said the MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the two OIC specialized institutions, employ media to spread awareness about women's rights, and collaborate to organize the necessary programs and activities for achieving these goals.
The MoU was signed in Nouakchott, Mauritania, in the presence of OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha, on the sidelines of the 49th session of the Council of the OIC Foreign Ministers.
