Qatar, France Trade Volume Up 165 Percent

Doha: Qatar Chamber recently participated in the Arab French Economic Summit 2023 recently which was held in Paris under the theme“A partnership that must be forged in a world in crisis”.

The Chamber's delegation was presided over by QC Chairman Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani and included the Director of International Relations and Chambers Affairs Sheikha Tamader Al Thani.

Sheikh Khalifa stressed the close commercial relations between the State of Qatar and France, stressing the Qatar Chamber's keenness on enhancing cooperation between the Qatari and French private sectors and bolstering cooperation ties between Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from France, in a way that develops trade exchange between both countries.

France is an important trade partner to Qatar, he said, adding that their trade volume last year amounted to QR 16.4bn, compared with QR6.2bn in 2021, registering an increase of 165 percent.

The summit was jointly organised by the Arab French Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Marseille and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
