German Business Insolvency Sees Unprecedented Rise - Statistics

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BERLIN, March 17 (KUNA) -- The number of insolvent companies in Germany last year had seen an unpresented hike since the global financial crisis in 2009, said Federal Statistical Office.
As many as 14,590 companies were declared insolvent in 2022, up 4.3 percent over 2021's figure, the office said in its new data.
However, this number does not indicate an 'insolvency wave', the office suggested.
The number of requests for normal business insolvency in Germany increased by 10.8 percent in February 2023, compared with the previous month, according to the office's data. (end)
