(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, and the Minister of Labour Yousef Shamali on Thursday met with the president and members of the board of directors of the Iraqi-Jordanian Company for Industry, which is jointly owned by the Jordanian and Iraqi governments and is responsible for implementing the Joint Economic Estate project between the two countries.
Shamali emphasised the importance of continuing to work with maximum effort to begin implementing the joint project, which aims to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries in various sectors and achieve both countries' developmental goals.
Shamali expressed his gratitude to the board of directors and management of the company for their efforts in completing the necessary work to implement the project and attract a developer for it.
The chairman of the company's board of directors, Yanal Al Birmaawi, stated that the board is committed to the set timeframe for inviting a developer to the project during the current year's first quarter, and said that the developer should commence the implementation phase on the ground as planned before the end of 2023.
