Somali Military Court Executes 3 Terror Suspects


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, March 15 (KUNA) -- The Somali military court executed Wednesday three people for the charges of terrorism and killing of innocent civilians.
According to Somali National News agency (SONNA), the court had recently ordered the execution of the three men for involvement in implementing and facilitating terrorist bombings.
One of the three men, an officer of the Somali Armed Forces called Sherif Mohammad, was already sentenced by the court to death by the firing squad last January.
According to SONNA, the Public Prosecution of the Somali Armed Forces revealed that he had joined Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabab militia, and facilitated a terrorist bombing that killed many innocent people in Mogadishu in 2019. (end)
