4.7 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Turkiye's Kahramanmaras

Ankara: An earthquake measuring 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale occurred in the Guksun district of Kahramanmarash province in southern Turkiye on Tuesday.

The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) stated that the tremor occurred at a depth of 7 Km in the state.

There are no reports of material damage or injuries.

A violent 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkiye and northern Syria on February 6, followed by another 7.6-magnitude earthquake and thousands of powerful aftershocks that claimed tens of thousands of lives and damaged buildings and property.
