Maritime venture value exceeds USD35M to be installed in southern Iran


(MENAFN) The director-general of Bushehr Province’s Ports and Maritime Department declared that two main maritime ventures will be inaugurated throughout President Ebrahim Raisi’s trip to the province, as reported by IRNA on Tuesday.

In line with Mohammad Shakibi-Nasab, the stated venture contains the Bushehr international maritime passenger terminal as well as the initial stage of the Ganaveh Port development venture.

“The offshore section of the Bushehr International Sea Passenger Terminal has been designed and implemented according to the current standards of the world with a credit of 900 billion Rials (around USD1.99 million),” Shakib-Nasab asserted.

The Ganaveh port improvement venture, with an overall investment of 16 trillion rials (around USD35.3 million) is prepared in three phases, the initial stage is going to be forced in 36 months, as mentioned by the official.

“This project includes the construction of a breakwater, a protective dyke, a perimeter wall, and dredging of the basin up to a depth of minus five meters,” Shakib-Nasab stated.
