(MENAFN) The San Francisco Police Department is urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing radio DJ who is considered "at risk." Jeffrey Vandergrift, a well-known 54-year-old DJ for Wild 94.9, a top 40 radio station serving the San Francisco Bay area, has not been seen or heard from since last Thursday, February 23. According to a statement issued by the San Francisco Police Department, Vandergrift was last seen at his home on King Street in San Francisco at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday.
Vandergrift, who is described as being "at risk" by the police, is 6'0" tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds, is bald, has brown eyes, and several tattoos, including on his arms and one above his right ear, according to authorities.
Wild 94.9 released a statement on their website on Monday evening, stating that Vandergrift had been reported missing by the SFPD on Friday. The radio station also revealed that there has been no trackable activity on his cell phone, credit cards, or any other banking records, which is deeply concerning to his colleagues and loved ones. Despite the lack of activity, the station remains hopeful for better news and continues to encourage anyone with information on Vandergrift's whereabouts to come forward and contact the police immediately.
