Kuwait Condoles With Turkiye Over Quake Victims


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Sabah made a phone call, in the presence of Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affair Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabal, with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on Wednesday.
In the conversation, Sheikh Salem renewed, on behalf of Kuwait's political leadership, government and people, sincere condolences to the government and people of sisterly Turkiye over the victims of the recent powerful earthquake.
He prayed for Allah, the Almighty, to lodge the deceased in Paradise and grant the wounded a quick recovery.
The conversation also dealt with the instructions of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah regarding the dispatching of urgent assistance, including medial and security teams, to Turkiye.
The Turkish foreign minister conveyed the regards of the Turkish leaders to the Kuwaiti leaders, government and people, expressing gratitude for the disaster relief.
Cavusoglu appreciating the launching of a lifeline for airlifting the humanitarian aid from Kuwait, saying these assistances materialize the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between both nations and Kuwait's distinctive humanitarian role around the globe. (pickup previous)
