Doha: Under the directives of HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al Sharq Media Group, the group announced it will be donating the revenues from its newspapers for a full week to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Turkiye and Syria.
The revenues from Al Sharq, Lusail and The Peninsula starting from Thursday, February 9, 2023, for a full week will be donated for the intiative.
This initiative is to support the relief efforts undertaken by Qatar and other charitable and humanitarian organisations for the victims of the earthquake.
The proceeds will be forwarded in coordination with Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities through Qatar Charity and the Qatar Red Crescent Society.
HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani Al Thani offered condolences to the brotherly peoples of Turkiye and Syria, praying to God Almighty to bless the victims with the abundance of His mercy, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.
