Egyptian PM Talks High-Level Political Dialogue With Azerbaijan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 7. The political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Egypt is at a high level, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said at a meeting with Chair of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, who is on a visit to Egypt, trend reports.

Madbouly reminded that diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992.

He noted that the visit of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Azerbaijan in January 2023 will deepen cooperation in a number of areas.

The PM also noted that Azerbaijan and Egypt have good opportunities for broad cooperation in such areas as industry, trade, transport, agriculture, and humanitarian sphere.

He pointed out that Egypt supports the establishment of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

According to Madbouly, cooperation between the countries' parliaments contributes to the further deepening of relations between the countries.

Gafarova expressed satisfaction with the current level of development of relations between our countries.

Stressing that the legal framework between Azerbaijan and Egypt is quite rich, she noted the good potential for further expansion of economic and trade cooperation.

The chairperson noted the important role of relations between the two countries' parliaments in bilateral relations and drew attention to the good level of cooperation in this area.
