(MENAFN) Two ventures for the output of flowers and ornamental plants were installed in Khorram-Abad County, in Lorestan district.
One of the ventures was established in Daraee Village in the attendance of Lorestan governor-general and some of his officials.
This venture was applied in a sector of 3,200 square meters and with its establishment, employment for 45 citizens has been opened directly and indirectly.
The other venture was inaugurated in Pirjad Village in the attendance of the governor-general and his officials.
This venture was forced on 3,200 square meters of land, establishing direct employment opportunities for eight people, as well as indirect employment opportunities for 24 persons.
Iran ranks at the 17th place in the world in the output of flowers and ornamental plants, but it is placed 107th in terms of shipment.
Year on year, three billion flowers and ornamental plants are outputted in the nation, of which just 300 million are shipped. 50 percent of the outputted flowers are traded locally and the remaining goes to waste.
