Iran’s Semnan province sees 33 percent increase in shipment YoY


(MENAFN) The worth of shipment from Semnan province saw a surge of 33 percent in the opening ten months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022-January 20, 2023), in contrast with the same span of time in the last year, as announced of provincial official.

Mohammad-Reza Hashemi, the governor-general of the district, stated that more than 243,000 tons of goods valued at over USD98 million were shipped in the stated ten-month time span, signifying three percent fall in terms of mass on a yearly basis.

The representative stated that the goods were shipped to 35 nations.

As earlier declared by the deputy chief of the province’s Industry, Mining and Trade Department, 290,000 tons of goods valued at USD97 million were shipped from Semnan in the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (closed on March 20, 2022), which signifies 54 percent increase in worth and 12 percent expansion in mass in compared to year 1399.
