(MENAFN) Companies in the UK are dealing with the peakiest level of employment difficulties on record, underlining the necessity for advanced childcare support and training, as shown by a recent survey issued on Friday.
The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) surveyed over 5,600 businesses, with more than eight in ten companies– 82 percent – reporting issues in employing new staff.
There were problems through all industries, but the hospitality industry was the most impacted, with 87 percent of companies reporting hurdles.
It was shadowed by the production industry at 85 percent, whereas the construction industry, professional services, as well as public, education, health areas were all on 83 percent.
“Today’s findings reveal that British businesses are facing the highest level of recruitment difficulties on record. Instead of seeing any easing of our extremely tight labor market, this issue only continues to head in the wrong direction,” according to Alex Veitch, head of policy and public affairs at the BCC.
Adding, “With an anaemic economy and low productivity, government must take immediate steps to ease the considerable labor pressures on businesses – we can’t afford to wait any longer.”
