CM Khattar to present state budget on Feb 23 Chandigarh, Feb 3 (KNN) The Haryana budget session is all set to begin on February 20 and the state budget will be presented by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on February 23.
A decision in this regard was taken during the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference, the chief minister said that the focus of the upcoming Budget shall be welfare for all the sections of society with its specific focus on sectors like rural-development, environment, healthcare and education.
“Since a provision has been made in the Union Budget for setting up Unity Malls by the states, Haryana will take this initiative,” Khattar informed the media.
As per the Union budget, Unity Malls can be set up in their state capital or most prominent tourism centre or the financial capital for promotion and sale of their district's product and other handicraft products.
As per reports, the cabinet meeting took vital decision such as changes in the departmental financial rules empowering the chief minister as the head of the committee which will be the final authority for delegating tenders more than Rs 10 crore, inclusion of two separate departments in the Business of Haryana Government (Allocation) Rules, compassionate appointment to the wife of a Pulwama martyr besides others.
