Salt, Feb 2 (Petra) - The Netherlands Ambassador for Youth, Education and Work, Jurriaan Middelhoff, Thursday, visited a training for the agricultural training programme within the project to support qualified and skilled workers in agriculture and tourism.
The project aims to provide 1,500 men and women with employment and entrepreneurship skills in tourism and agriculture.
'The Netherlands places youth at the centre of development cooperation policies and invests in their education and work to prepare them for the business world better now and tomorrow, ' Middelhoff noted.
The Netherlands-funded 'Your Skill' project, launched in 2022, is in line with the Skills for Jobs Pact of the Embassy of the Netherlands and with Jordan's National Youth and Employment Policy.
Walid Tarawneh, CEO of 'Partners for the Best,' implementing the 'Your Skill' project, said, 'Your Skill is not limited to raising the skills of young men and women and enhancing their employment opportunities.'
He added that the project aims to develop the youth's entrepreneurial and life skills in two of Jordan's most vital sectors, tourism and agriculture.
