Putin talks to Algerian president, Armenian prime minister

(MENAFN) In separate phone conversations on Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with the leaders of Algeria and Armenia, according to a statement from the Kremlin.

"Reaffirming their preparedness for future cooperation work on the global energy market, including within OPEC Plus and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum," Putin and Tebboune said in a statement.

As OPEC ministers and those from its allies, referred to as OPEC+, are scheduled to meet virtually on Wednesday, Vladimir Putin also talked with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman on Monday.

Putin and Pashinyan spoke about the situation in the Karabakh area, with a focus on the necessity of "constant execution" of trilateral agreements for the rehabilitation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Ties between the two previous Soviet republics have been tense since 1991 after Armenian military took over Nagorno-Karabakh, a land globally known as part of Azerbaijan, and seven adjacent regions.
