Polish DM not sure if Germany wants Ukraine to win battle

(MENAFN) Polish defense minister said he is "not sure if Germany wants Ukraine to win the battle" and questioned Berlin's commitment to aiding Kyiv in its conflict with Russia.

When asked if Germans actually wanted Ukraine to win the conflict, Mariusz Blaszczak responded, "I always ask that question when talking to German officials.

He said on Polish Radio 1 that Berlin should give the Ukraine more battle tanks and that Warsaw would keep pressing Berlin to do so. Baszczak remarked, "There is a reason for this pressure.

He blasted the Polish opposition for "blindly parroting Germany" and claimed that they would claim that Ukraine did not require Leopard or Patriot units if they were in power in Poland. They'd reiterate anything Berlin says, he claimed.

“It can be said plainly, if not for Polish pressure exerted on Germans, the decision to donate Leopard tanks to Ukraine would not have been made,” Blaszczak added.
