(MENAFN) In line with the official data released by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday, daily electricity usage in Turkey declined by 5.21 percent on Saturday in comparison to the day before, standing at 871,710 megawatts per hours.
Based on the TEIAS data, the peak hourly power use was 41,195 megawatts per hours at 12 p.m. regional time (0900 GMT). At 5 a.m. regional time, the nation's power consumption reached a record low of 30,210 megawatts per hours (0200 GMT).
On Saturday, 847,825 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a 5.67 percent reduction over Friday.
Natural gas factories comprised by 26.9 percent of all electricity, whereas imported coal factories and lignite factories constituted by 25.3 percent and 16.1 percent, correspondingly, to the total generation.
The nation's electrical exports on Saturday were 8,252 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 31,997 megawatts per hours.
