The DP World Tour announced on Thursday that the opening round's play at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic would not commence before 13pm at the earliest due to ground and weather conditions.
Officials informed that the course conditions are improving, but the Emirates Golf Club remains inaccessible due to the overnight rainfall. The site will also remain closed to the general public for today.
Organisers have said that several roads to the course are flooded and are advising visitors to refrain from attempting to get to the golf course.
