(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Arab Parliament Adel Al-AsousI condemned on Wednesday the tearing of the Quran by an extremist in the Netherlands.
In a statement issued by the Parliament, Al-Asousi warned that this heinous incident is an act of incitement and serious provocation of the feelings of Muslims worldwide and goes against international human rights.
He called on the international community to respect religious symbols and to end such actions that fuel hatred and violence, threaten peaceful coexistence, and destabilize security and stability. (end)
