Pakistan Seeks Closer Coop. With UAE


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISLAMABAD, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday reiterated resolve to further strengthen ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sharif made the remark during his meeting with visiting UAE President Mohammad bin Zaid Al-Nahyan at Chandna Airport in eastern Punjab province, according to the state-owned Radio Pakistan.
The UAE President is in Pakistan on a private visit.
During the meeting, both sides expressed the resolve to further enhance brotherly relations between the two countries, said the radio.
The Prime Minister recalled his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates and emphasized that both countries would work on the understandings reached between the two leaders during his visit to the UAE, in various fields.
For his side, UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan said that the brotherly relations between the two countries went back many decades and his father, who had immense love for Pakistan and its people, laid the foundation of their bilateral ties.
He further said that he considers Pakistan as his second home and assured the Prime Minister that the UAE would always stand by Pakistan. (end)
