Malawi Amb. To Kuwait Commends KRCS Efforts


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- Ambassador of Malawi to Kuwait Younis Abdulkareem commended Wednesday Kuwait Red Crescent Society for all the efforts and aid it provides to countries in need.
In a statement to the press after meeting with KRCS vice-chairman Anwar Al-Hasawi, Ambassador Abulkareem affirmed the importance of coordination and cooperation to provide better care for humanity as a whole.
Collaboration between KRCS and the Red Cross Society in Malawi and their joint efforts were discussed during the meeting, stated the Ambassador calling for further collaboration to provide food and medicine in light of the cholera outbreak in his country.
On his part, Al-Hasawi underlined Kuwait's investment in the humanitarian situation in Malawi, adding that KRCS had provided relief to people who lost their homes in 2019.
He affirmed the society's commitment to helping people in need in Malawi, an indication of the depth of relations between the two nations. (end)
