DHAMAN Wins Best Emerging Healthcare Unit on Public Private Partnership 2022 Award


(MENAFN- DHAMAN) Health Assurance Hospitals Company (DHAMAN) earning the award of Best Emerging Healthcare Unit on Public Private Partnership at the Annual Business Tabloid Awards 2022 in recognition of the role the Company will play in supporting Kuwait's health sector.

This came during a recent ceremony in Dubai attended by a number of winning companies in various sectors, including Al Rajhi Bank, Bahrain International Airport, Almarai Company, National Bank of Egypt, DAMAC Properties, Etihad Airways Group and other companies.

DHAMAN expressed appreciation for the award that valued the idea of establishing the Company and the services it would provide to Kuwait's healthcare sector through a health model applied for the first time in the Middle East region being the system of Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and in cooperation with a globally recognized operator that possesses the expertise in managing such health networks.

DHAMAN is considered the largest project within the Development Plan with capital amounting to KWD 230 million, and the first initiative to support Kuwait's health sector in partnership between public and private sectors, which is considered one of the biggest sectors in consuming the national budget.

One of the objectives of the Development Plan is to reduce the national budget in general and to enable the private sector to contribute to providing services, including healthcare services. Through the provision of healthcare to more than 1.8 million residents working in the private sector and their families, which would alleviate the public health network for the benefit of citizens and residents alike.

The recognition comes as DHAMAN continues its preparedness to operate its health network by completing all the necessary requirements of licenses and agreements relating to the Ministry of Health and other official bodies.

DHAMAN added, "This award represents additional encouragement to continue working and complete all the steps required, as we are keen to provide the best quality healthcare through our network, which includes a number of hospitals and primary health care centers, in addition to providing screening services for expatriate workers inside and outside Kuwait."

DHAMAN has completed two hospitals in governorates of Ahmadi and Jahra with a capacity of 660 beds, as well as having throughout governorates a total of five primary healthcare centers that are operating as private centers that receive all seekers of healthcare in preparation of launching DHAMAN network and receive the segment of beneficiaries.

Evaluation for the Business Tabloid Awards is conducted by an awards committee consisting of the publisher, research team and the editorial team, whereby Business Tabloid recognizes companies according to merits and the expertise each company holds in its industry. Nominations are evaluated based on various elements, such as innovation, accomplishments, and the contribution of each organization.
