Turkey’s BIST 100 index starts Wednesday’s session 0.69 percent higher


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 5,403.74 points on Wednesday, surging 0.69 percent, or 37.22 points, from the prior end.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased by 0.7 percent to end Tuesday standing at 5,366.52, with a day to day exchange volume of 108 billion Turkish liras (USD5.76 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira selling price stood at 18.8083 as of 10.26 AM regional time (0726GMT), the euro/lira trading rate reached an amount of 20.5066, whereas a British pound exchanged for 23.1898 Turkish liras.

International benchmark Brent crude sold at USD86.58 a barrel as of 09.56 AM regional time (0656GMT), a 0.52 percent rise from the ending price of USD86.13 a barrel in the prior exchange session.

American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) exchanged at USD80.42 a barrel at the same time, a 0.36 percent earn following the prior day ended at USD80.13 per barrel. whereas the price of one ounce of gold stood at USD1,932.05.
