(MENAFN) Manufacture of steel outputs in Iran reached an amount of 14.527 million tons in the opening nine months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-December 21, 2022), as shown by the figures issued by Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry.
The ministry’s figures show that the nine-month steel products output has saw a fall of 23 percent in comparison with the output in the same span of time in the last year.
The Iranian Steel industry has been progressively improving during the last years versus all the weights and challenges established by outside nations like the U.S. restrictions and the coronavirus pandemic that has massively impacted the performance of the world’s highest producers.
The nation is estimated to jump to seventh rank between the world’s leading steel manufacturers by the Iranian calendar year 1404 (March 2025).
The most recent report issued by the World Steel Association (WSA) indicates that Iran’s crude steel productions has surged 8.5 percent in the opening 11 months of last year, whereas the world steel production has dropped 3.7 percent in the mentioned period.
