UN's World Tourism Organization places Saudi Arabia top among Arab countries in 2022
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia placed at first spot between Arab countries for inbound visitors as over 18 million visitors took trips to the nation in the opening nine months of this year, as shown by the figures released by the UN's World Tourism Organization.
The UAE was the second-peakiest Arab country with inbound trips amounting 14.8 million, shadowed by Morocco with 11 million travelers in the opening three quarters of last year.
Along with Saudi Arabia’s vision to amount to 100 million travelers a year within the end of this decade, the nation’s tourism spending saw a massive jump to amount to USD7.2 billion in the opening 6 months of 2022, as shown by figures issued by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment.
“The ATM 2023 Saudi Summit will offer an ideal forum in which travel professionals and policymakers from across the Middle East and beyond can explore opportunities and challenges within the Kingdom’s ever-growing tourism sector,” ATM head Danielle Curtis mentioned in an announcement.
