Qatar Press Centre To Hold Seminar On Jan 31

Doha: The Board of Directors of Qatar Press Centre yesterday held a meeting at the centre's headquarters to discuss a number of decisions and approve the plan for the next stage and the schedule of the forthcoming events and activities.

The Board of Directors approved the appointment of Faisal Al Mudahka as Acting Director General of the Centre, as well appointment of Sheikha Al Khater as Coordinator.

The Board expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to Abdullah AlAdhba, the former Director-General, for his efforts in the past period. The Centre had launched its first series of seminars on December 11, 2022, on the reality of media attacks from foreign newspapers on World Cup Qatar 2022.

The seminar received overwhelming response.

The Centre has set up plans to host an important symposium, in cooperation with the Media Development Department at the Qatar Media Corporation, to be presented by Prof Dr. Abdullah Al Shayji, Professor of Political Science at Kuwait University, on Tuesday, January 31, at the centre's headquarters. It was also decided to hold some training courses and honour some prominent Qatari media persons. The meeting also discussed organising some media competitions in cooperation with the local press to make way for Qatari talents to highlight their talents in the media sector.
